Respite

What will you be doing in five years? This is the question we answered in our second project of senior year.

Insomnia has been a huge part of my life, and my dream (no pun intended) is that in five years, I will be able to sleep through the night. I created a space that was optimal for sleep according to physiological and psychological factors. It includes chromatherapy, sound therapy, meditation techniques, and advice from various doctors and other insomniacs.

Operation Oracle

First assignment of senior year! Were were told to choose a subculture and identify their ideology, then create a methodology based on those parameters and design for or about the subculture. I chose Anonymous, a group based on the internet. I created a campaign for Anonymous called "Operation Oracle," which reacted to the fact-checking culture following the 2012 GOP Convention. Stress Board Fall 2012

Same project as last semester. This time around I used photography that looked like the actual board. If you look carefully you can see where someone decided to draw on my poster! The wonderful librarians approved the drawing of the library logo as well.

Meet Your Friends at the Library

To advertise the fiction offerings at Mugar Library, I illustrated five characters and incorporated them into a poster series.

Comm Ave Fair 2012

For Comm Ave Fair at BU, I created T-shirts for Mugar Library, as well as LIFESIZE 6'x3' Emily Dickinson and William Shakespeare! We also had mini golf. I made posters for all the booths as well, as well as a coloring book, and the individual obstacles for the mini golf (Mount Doom and the hat from A Clockwork Orange). (It was a busy few weeks!)

A poster designed to advertise the new library website. This was done in sizes 50x72, 24x30, 13x19, and letter size as well. (The version below is 24x30).

Promotional for the conference. In keeping with the brand, I restricted fonts and colors but went with a more dynamic use of typography in "Save the Date."

Current Trends in Autism Conference 2012

At the same internship, I was assigned the branding of CTIA, a major conference in November. I created a brand book, schedules, Facebook materials, an exhibitor information package, a postcard, and other items. The poster is below.

Athletes 4 Autism & CTIA Conference

I got an internship at The Autism Research Foundation, whose program Athletes 4 Autism, the very week I was starting, were chosen by Deion Branch and Popchips Game Changers as the Game Changer Charity of the Year. To kick off their celebratory event I created several screen materials for them: a "slider" to use on their website, a facebook-compliant photo to use in their timeline, and a cover photo. TARF is also gearing up for their Current Trends in Autism Conference 2012.

The social media icons were made by me. I'm thinking of putting it up as a free .ai soon.
