A Chorus of Words

A long 10-week self-portrait through design, this project started as a "Catalog of Influences" but quickly grew to an exploration of how I express voices in typography.

The Blind Assassin Concept Map

In this concept map of The Blind Assassin by Margaret Atwood, I track the emotions of the three interwoven stories.

Inside Out

In this project, I chose a cause to advertise through the use of poems and lyrics. This fold-out piece was designed to show the revealing of information as well as distinguish between connotative and denotative typography.

For this project we also did an installation.

An iconography describing genres of music, put into a jewel case setting in order to visualize a playlist.

Why Not Lecture Poster

Given three hours and a hypothetical lecture poster for Why Not Associates, I created this lecture poster to be reminiscent of their work. I had the unique pleasure of visiting their studios while in London.

Massachusetts Coast Guard

 An infographic for the US Coast Guard in Massachusetts, detailing State Data as well as recruitment information and other facts. Printed double-sided on a letter-size piece of paper, but folds to about 3"x4".

El Al Redesign

Website redesign for El Al's homepage. Done in photoshop, 1265x868 pixels.

The Bookmark Project

The Bookmark Project was a two-part project continuing on the MoveOn posters wherein we designed an installation project. I created 13 separate bookmarks and "invaded" bookstores with them. For more information on my work and the web component, please see the website, which I designed.

Typography and Transportation

A 32-page 6"x9" anthology including an interview with Erik Spiekermann, an article on Massimo Vignelli's MTA map, and an essay written by me on Typography and Transportation. Under the cut, more spreads.

MoveOn.org

Two posters for MoveOn.org - one for the controversial organization and one against it. Both are 33"x46".

Maya Lin (Architype)

Two 20x30" posters about the architect Maya Lin. The first is a denotative poster including a timeline. The second is connotative and seeks to emulate her style.
